Painting Parties
Join Friends of Enchanted Rock and Enchanted Rock SNA park rangers for a fun afternoon of painting.
Please note: Registration for this event is separate from park entry. You must also make a day pass reservation.
WHAT IS A PAINTING PARTY?
You’ll be guided step by step to create your own 8×10 scenic landscape that you get to keep as a souvenir. We’ll provide coffee and hot chocolate, and we encourage you to bring your own mug and any snacks you’d like! (Note: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Texas State Parks.).
Where will they be held?
We will set up outside in the Day-Use Area away from the noise, but with peeks of Enchanted Rock’s summit through the trees. This painting party is weather-dependent and is subject to change times or dates in the event of rain or unreasonable weather.
WHEN CAN I JOIN?
Classes will be held monthly so long as the weather permits. Classes will start at 2:30 PM and end at 4:30 PM. Approximately 2 hours of class time.
What else should I know?
Cost: $15 + Park Entry Fees ($8 per adult 13+; free for children 12 and younger). Make Park Reservations using this link: Enchanted Rock SNA Reservations (Note: We recommend reserving at least a week in advance to guarantee entry to the park on the day of your painting party.)
Cost is per person and includes art supplies, guided instruction, a take-home canvas, and complementary coffee and hot chocolate. Class size is strictly limited to 15 people. Payment is due at time of registration, and spots cannot be held without payment.
Cancellation Policy: Due to limited seating, we ask that any cancellations occur a minimum of one (1) day (i.e., 24 hours) before the class. We do not offer refunds, though we will allow you to transfer your registration to a different class. If you miss your class and do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you will lose your registration fee and it will be considered a donation to the Friends of Enchanted Rock. By signing up for this class, you hereby agree to this cancellation policy.
